EYFS Autumn A Data Collection – Deadline 4 November

Purpose:    Important updated information

Audience:  Nursery and Primary Headteachers

As you will no doubt be aware, all Reception classes are required to send assessments made up to October Half Term against the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile to the Local Authority for all Reception pupils.  Assessments may be made up to 24 October 2008 and the deadline for submitting the electronic file to the LA is 4 November 2008. This file needs to be uploaded as a generic file to the S2S site.

Please note that if you are using eProfile to make this return you need to make sure you have the most up-to-date version of the guidance notes (dated 29 September 2008). These can be downloaded from the following link:

Guidance Notes for Autumn A FSP return using eProfile

It will not matter whether you are using eProfile v2.5 or the new eyeProfile v3 to make this return, but please make sure that every user in your school is on the same version.

Despite the publication of a third version of eyeProfile this term, there are still obvious glitches in the program.  The current version of eyeProfile is dated 25 September.  We would still advise you to wait until later in the year to convert to eyeProfile. There is no real need to convert to eyeProfile at this point.

If you have want to know about the issues concerning the conversion to eyeProfile please see the note at the following link:

Converting eProfile Version 2.5 to eyeProfile Version 3

EYFS Target Tracker users will find their guidance notes for the “Autumn A” collection at the following link:

Guidance Notes for Autumn A FSP return using EYFS Target Tracker However their notes remain as originally published.

If you have any queries regarding these instructions, please contact ict.helpline@cambridgeshire.gov.uk or telephone: 08450 450973
