Cambridgeshire Young People’s Film Festival 2009

Following the success of the first Cambridgeshire Young People’s Film Festival planning for the next film event has already started. Anyone working with young people in Cambridgeshire is invited to come along to the launch events and hear about the lead up to this year’s festival and awards ceremony.  Last year a panel of professional film makers judged 80 submitted films from pupils with ages ranging from 5 – 19 years. The awards were sponsored and presented by a range of local and national businesses. The launch events this year will celebrate the achievements of last year and tell you what you need to do to get involved in making and submitting films for this year’s awards. The categories for this year’s films will also be announced. The events will be held  from 4pm – 5pm (refreshments available from 3.30pm) at the following venues:

Tuesday 21st October at The Arts PictureHouse, Cambridge

Wednesday 23rd October at the ICT Service Centre in Godmanchester

Thursday 24th October at Neale-Wade Community College, March
