Scheduled Technical Support Visit Reports

Purpose:     News of Electronic Jobsheets
Audience:   Headteachers

In October 2006 we implemented a trial, electronic, method of logging work carried out on Scheduled Technical Support (Patch) visits.

The original reporting method was via a paper-based system which proved difficult to monitor and manage.
We are also aware of the amount of paperwork finding its way into schools.
For these and other reasons we have implemented an electronic system using the same Helpdesk system as used by the Education ICT Service Helpline. This gives us a far easier method of tracking works carried out, and allows us to send an automated email to schools as a log for reference.

This process serves a number of purposes, not least allowing far easier searching of jobs carried out, and easier reporting on work over the last year. We would be grateful if school leadership teams could support this process.

If there are any problems with this process, please do log your query via the ict.helpline@cambridgeshire.gov.uk address, from where it will be prioritised and dealt with as soon as possible.
