Changes to schools internet filtering system

Purpose:    For Information
Audience:  All School Staff

As we informed you earlier this term, the filtering system on the schools internet feed is to be changed shortly. Testing of the new system is underway and it is due to be implemented before 15th December. Please watch out for an e-mail announcement which will tell you when the new system goes live.

We will also be issuing more detailed information about the new system, which is called Protex, at a later date.

Initially, the new system may prove more restrictive than the current regime. If you encounter any non-urgent problems as a result of the Protex system, please report them by e-mail to ict.helpline@cambridgeshire.gov.uk Urgent filtering issues can still be raised directly in the usual way.
