e-Business Suite (FAMIS) Downtime - March 2005

To meet the requirements for changes to the annual tax / end of year calculations, the e-Business Suite will be unavailable to users while the Payroll module is upgraded. This is planned to take place from Friday 4th to Wednesday 9th March. Testing of the upgrades is in progress. If any problems arise that cannot be fixed before these dates, we will delay the upgrade. If we need to revert our contingency dates (19th - 24th March), staff will be informed.

SIMS news for primary schools

Schools should be receiving a letter shortly outlining free seminars in preparation for SIMS.net Final conversion. This applies to nearly all primary schools. The letter is published on the portal - search for "Final conversion". Dates and venues are:

Tuesday 8th March, 10 -12 - Buckden Community Centre

Thursday 10th March 10 - 12 - CPDC

Thursday 17th March 10 - 12 - Oliver Cromwell, March

"Pupil Portal Update

All primary and special schools who have subscribed to the pupil portal have been emailed this week with information about an extension to this year's subscription, project opportunities and free training. The information may also be found on the portal - www.ccceducation.net  - by searching for 'pupil portal'

Changing Lives Project - Travel

Subscribers to the pupil portal are offered the opportunity to apply to take part in a project pairing Cambridgeshire schools with inner city schools in Brent, who also use the DigitalBrain system. The loose theme of the overall project is travel. Further information is available on the portal by searching for 'changing lives'
