Portal Access Problems
Over the last few days it has become apparent that a number of Cambridgeshire schools have had problems reaching the portal, either finding it very slow or unable to access it at all. It is believed this problem has arisen as a result of a recent upgrade to the E2Bn network firewall. This upgrade has now been removed, and it is therefore hoped that the problem has been resolved.
We apologise for any access problems you may have experienced in the last few days. We assure you that although the problem was outside of our control, we are ensuring that E2Bn resolve it as quickly as possible.
This will only have affected the forty or so remaining schools from the broadband pilot; schools migrated to CCN broadband should not have had experienced any such difficulties. It is also worth noting that access to the portal outside of the network (for instance, from home) will also have been unaffected.
If you are still experiencing difficulties access the portal from your school, please contact the ICT Service Helpline on 01480 376650 or email: ict.helpline@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
