FAMIS users:

There is a new page on the portal listing up-coming issues and changes. Enter FAMIS into the search box on the portal home page. This page will be updated as information becomes available, so you may find it helpful to "bookmark" it in your web browser.

There is information on that page about changes to the system over the Christmas period.

SIMS users:

Autumn Upgrade:

A reminder that the Autumn upgrade is really important as it will enable you to do the statutory PLASC return on January 20th. There are a few minor "known errors" with the PLASC software and it may be necessary to issue an upgrade. If this does happen, schools will be contacted separately, but please check the PLASC pages on the portal early in January (enter PLASC into the search box on the portal home page).

Final conversion:

All primary schools will have to carry out Final Conversion to SIMS .net in 2005. A series of briefings is being planned for early in the Spring Term. More information will be sent to schools in January.

HelpLine Support - PLASC

Please be aware that the Helpline will be very busy during the week running up to and on the day of PLASC.  If you cannot get through on the phone and leave a message on the voice mail, we will get back to you please be patient.  (Please only leave one message on the voice mail as it will cause duplicate calls to be opened and waste time as the team will be chasing calls that have already been answered).  Another way of contacting us would be to email the problem to the ICT Helpline email address (ICT.Helpline@cambridgeshire.gov.uk) which will also be monitored for PLASC calls - please type PLASC FAULT in the subject so they are easily recognised
