Technical support

Continuous access to reliable, affordable ICT support is a prerequisite to building confidence in ICT systems, to support teaching and learning as well as management and administration. Through improved management of and with ICT, schools will be able to ensure that teachers and other senior staff are freed from resolving technical ICT issues that could be better handled by trained support staff. The ICT Service Technical Support Team delivers ICT services to clients in schools, Children's Services and beyond by:

Providing vision, leadership and advice to schools: on the opportunities and appropriateness of ICT investment; the exploitation of new technologies; best practice to enhance effectiveness

Directing the delivery of ICT solutions and services in accordance with clients, commissions and instructions

Promoting and implementing the use of standards and quality assurance mechanisms to ensure that the quality, reliability and efficiency of the team are maintained and improved
