School Workforce Census
The DCSF has for some years needed to introduce systems to collect better data on the composition of the school workforce. This has finally come about in the shape of the School Workforce Census. In January 2009, 10% of Cambridgeshire's schools will pilot the new census, with the main aim being to test the process of collecting and matching data on the school workforce. In January 2010, this will be a statutory requirement for all schools.
We are now in the process of putting all SIMS schools onto B2B Personnel so that the exchange of personnel data will be automated. This will enable the Local Authority to collate all the data and do the census on your behalf. There have been a number of delays and it won't be possible to get all schools onto B2B by the time of the Autumn Census. However, we will be able to do the full statutory census for all schools in the Spring term as planned.
